Phil Davis Owner

  Phillip Davis is the Head Coach and Owner of Streamline Aquatics. He was the Head Coach of the University of the Incarnate Word Men’s & Women’s Swimming & Diving Teams for 16 years from 2006 to 2022.  Coach Davis joined the UIW staff as the Head Coach of the women’s team in June 2006. During his first year the Lady Cardinal team had their highest finish ever at the conference championships and set 14 New School Records. Building on that success, UIW decided to add Men’s swimming & diving to UIW which started in the fall of 2007.

Coach Davis is a native of Camden, Arkansas where he excelled in several sports including Captain of the Football team. He moved on the Ouachita Baptist University where he was a 4 year letterman for the Tigershark swim team, Team Captain, and part of the last Conference Championship team. Coach Davis became the first Graduate Assistant swim coach at OBU while getting his Masters of Sports Administration at Henderson State University. Upon graduation, Coach Davis became the first full time assistant coach at Ouachita Baptist University.

His duties consisted of Recruiting Coordinator, Strength & Conditioning Coach, and Physical Education Instructor. Coach Davis was also the Head Arkadelphia High School Swimming & Diving Coach, Head USA-S Swim Coach for the satellite Arkansas Dolphins Swim team, and President of the South Arkansas Swimming Association summer league swim program.

During his time at OBU, Coach Davis had two OBU swimmers participate in the US Olympic trials and 26 athletes achieved All-American status. On the women's side, after he arrived at Ouachita Baptist in the spring of 2003, every single mark in the school's record book was broken. Additionally, at OBU twice the swimming teams had the nation's highest cumulative grade point average. While at OBU, he was an instructor in the Ouachita Baptist health, physical education and recreation department. Additionally, the 2006 spring semester he was an adjunct teacher in the physical education department at Henderson State University.

Aaron Moran Age Group / Head Senior Coach

Aaron has been a competitive swimmer since the age of 6 where he first learned how to swim at the UACJ in Juarez, Mexico. In his club days he spent his age group / HS career at AAAA. He swam for Brandeis High School in San Antonio from 2011-2014. He attended the University of the Incarnate Word from 2014-2019 where he was a part of the Men’s Swimming & Diving team that won multiple conference championships. He has coached and swam at almost all levels of the sport from summer league to the national level. He strongly believes that Streamline provides swimmers the best opportunity to succeed at the club level within the city of San Antonio.

Aaron believes that an environment high on positivity and filled with love for the sport births great, fast swimming. Growing up through the sport, he believes swimming has built him into the person and coach that he is today. The qualities instilled within him are what drive him to pass along as much knowledge to these young swimmers as possible to give them the chance that his past/current coaches have given him. 

Coming from a large swim club at Alamo Area to Streamline has showed him what advantages working in a smaller club has. From top to bottom, Aaron says, “This organization generates the best environment for young swimmers to have the opportunity to achieve anything and everything they want in the sport.” 

Leah Damm Site Director / Head Senior Coach

Leah began swimming at the age of two, and has been involved in the swimming world ever since. By the age eight, she joined her first USA Swimming club, where she earned multiple championship titles such as STAGS, TAGS, and Texas All Star Champion, achieved top 16 times in the Nation, finalled in several events as a participant of the South Texas Zones Team at the Southern Zones Championship, held a national relay record, and participated in Junior and Senior Nationals multiple times.  In high school, she was a four year Varisity Team member, a High School State Finalist, and a highly decorated All American Athlete. She received full scholarships to attend Division 1 Colleges, Florida State and University of Toledo, where she held multiple conference championships and records. She majored in Early Childhood Education.

 

Leah began coaching in 2001 as an assistant summer league coach. She became the head coach of a summer league team in 2004.  By 2009, Leah was the head coach of her first USA Swimming program, BSC in Ohio.  In 2010 she moved back to Texas and soon began coaching with Streamline Aquatics. Leah has been an active member for South Texas Swimming. She has served as the LSC's Awards Chair, New Club Development Chair, and as a Board of Review member. She has coached all levels of swimming, from developmental to the national level.  She was selected to coach for South Texas Zones Championships multiple times. She has helped swimmers achieve TAGS State finalist and State Championship titles, Sectional and Futures finalist, and Jr. National qualifications. Several of her swimmers went on to swim at Nationals and gain full ride scholarships to Division 1 colleges.

 

Leah engages swimmers utilizing a process driven technique.  Her mission statement is to foster social, emotional, and physical development through daily interactions and activities, to facilitate a safe environment for swimmers to develop life skills such as goal setting and time management, and to instill a life long love of the sport of swimming. Coach Leah says, “Happy swimmers are fast swimmers.” Coaching swimming is her passion!

 

Gracie Redding Age Group Coach

Gracie swam for Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) from (2016-2019), she swam at Florida State for her freshman season (2015-16). During her time at FGCU, she racked up multiple accolades including Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) Women’s 50 free Conference Champion (2018 & 2019) 100 free Conference Champion (2018 & 2019),100 fly Conference Champion (2019), and Conference Champion Swimmer of the year (2019). CSCAA Honorable Mention Scholar All-American (2019), was a three-time CCSA Swimmer of the Week, was a two-time Most Outstanding Female Swimmer of the Meet (2018 & 2019), earned CSCAA Scholar All-American twice (2018), earned CSCAA All-American (2017) after finishing 15th in the country in the 200 free relay at the 2017 NCAA Swimming Championships, and was named CCSA All-Conference (2017). 

After graduating in 2019 with her B.S. in Elementary Education, Gracie began her coaching career at UIW as the Assistant Female Swim/Dive Coach where she coached two seasons (2019,2020), (2020,2021). She also joined the Streamline coaching staff in 2019. Prior to UIW and Streamline, Gracie was a club swim coach with Gulf Coast Swim Team (GCST) in Fort Myers, Fl. She is now obtaining her master’s degree in project management at UIW where she is a full-time graduate assistant at the Natatorium. 

Andrii Nikishenko Age Group Coach

 

Andrii was born in Crimea, Ukraine. He started swimming at the age of 5 for the “Motor Sich” swim club. Andrii was a part of the Junior Ukrainian National Swimming Team from 2004-2006. During this time, he won 8 gold medals in the 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke, and 200 freestyle. In 2006, Andrii competed in his first international competition, the Junior European Championships in Spain, capturing the bronze medal. From 2006 – 2013, he was a part of the Ukrainian National Team, winning 18 National Champion titles. He came to Phoenix Swim club in 2012, where he trained with Olympic champions Roland Schoeman, Darian Townsend, Jessica Hardy, and World Champion Julia Efimova. 

Andrii then went on and transferred to the University of The Incarnate Word, receiving second place in the 2013 NCAA Division II in the 200 backstroke. In the same event, he won the CCSA Championships Division I in 2014. Andrii graduated the University of the Incarnate Word with a bachelor’s of Sports Management and Master of Business Administration. Andrii has been coaching for Streamline Aquatics since 2015. Listed are just a little more of his accomplishments. European Championships: 2006, 2012, World Cups: 2008, 2009, Ukrainian National Army Team: 2008-2012, World Military Games- fourth, East European Games- first and second fastest time in Ukrainian history on 200 backstroke – 1.59.74.

Rachel Woodard Home School Age Group Coach

  

Rachel Woodard, Age Group Coach, brings a strong commitment to excellence and focus, with a background in technically proficient swimming. Her swimming career began in South Texas as an age group swimmer. She was a Junior National, Southern Zones, Texas High School State, TAGS, Texas All Stars, and South Texas Swimming champion and finalist. Rachel continued her swimming career at the University of Toledo, where she set the backstroke pool record. Throughout her swimming career, Rachel was fortunate to have great coaches, who developed her passion for the sport of swimming.

Rachel began her coaching career first as an Assistant Coach and then as a Head Coach for a summer league team. In 2003, she became a certified USA Swimming coach. In 2007, Rachel returned to San Antonio to continue her USA Swimming coaching career. Rachel is active in South Texas Swimming and has served numerous times as a South Texas All Star Coach/ Head Coach and Zones Coach/ Head Coach; additionally she has served as the South Texas Swimming Camp Coordinator, Awards Chair, and Age Group Chair. 

Rachel says, “Progress, through focus and determination, can be seen in the growth of all technical aspects of the strokes and racing styles. Streamline is where fun and focus comes together, allowing each swimmer to realize full potential and take it to the next level".
